In a late-night development on Thursday, the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring over 100 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This marks a major shift in the state’s governance.

According to an official order from the Department of Personnel, 96 IAS officers have been given new assignments, while 10 officers who were previously awaiting postings have now received roles.

Among the prominent officers in this reshuffle are Tina Dabi and her husband, Pradeep Gawande. Tina Dabi, who was serving as the Commissioner of the Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) in Jaipur, has now been appointed as the District Collector of Barmer. Dabi, who gained nationwide recognition as the first female topper of the 2015 UPSC examination, has previously served as the District Collector of Jaisalmer. Her husband, Pradeep Gawande, who was posted in Bikaner, will now take on the role of District Collector in Jalore.

Tina Dabi: A Rising Star in Indian Bureaucracy

Tina Dabi became a national figure after topping the highly competitive UPSC examination in 2015 on her first attempt. She began her career as an Assistant Collector in Ajmer in 2017. Her earlier marriage to fellow IAS officer Athar Aamir Khan attracted significant media attention but ended in 2020. Dabi’s rise in the civil service continues to garner headlines, alongside her younger sister Ria Dabi, who also cleared the UPSC exam with an all-India rank of 15 in 2020.

Pradeep Gawande: A Diverse Background

Pradeep Gawande, born on December 9, 1980, in Maharashtra, is a 2013-batch IAS officer with a medical background, having completed his MBBS degree before clearing the UPSC exam. He previously served as the Collector of Churu and brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in September 2023, marking personal and professional milestones in their lives.
