Art with a Purpose

“I like to create art that is meant to be destroyed,” Orry explains in the video. He elaborates that once he completes a piece and captures it in a photograph, he destroys it. “The reason I destroy my work is because it is therapeutic and it will eventually wilt and fade away. By doing this, I return the nature to Mother Nature,” he adds. The artwork is temporary, but the photos are used to create prints that help fund his lifestyle.

Public Reaction

Orry’s post has garnered significant attention, amassing over 4 million views. Reactions from his audience range from admiration to playful commentary. One user suggested, “You could have auctioned that work for an insane price,” while another joked, “Be careful Orry will steal your salad.” Some viewers expressed emotional responses, with one admitting, “My heart sank when he threw it in the water.”

Art enthusiasts praised Orry’s creativity and gentle presentation, with comments like, “So creative” and “Very demure, very mindful.”

Orry’s innovative approach to art—creating and then destroying nature-inspired portraits—offers a fresh perspective on artistic expression and the therapeutic process. His ability to blend creativity with meaningful practice continues to engage and inspire his followers.
