India’s Covid-19 tally of cases rose to 1,07,77,284 with 11,039 new infections being reported in a day, while the recoveries surged to 1,04,62,631. The death count increased to 1,54,596 with 110 daily new fatalities. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 1,04,62,631 pushing the national Covid-19 recovery rate of 97.08 per cent, while the Covid-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.43 per cent. The total Covid-19 active cases remained below 2 lakh. There are 1,60,057 active coronavirus infections in the country which comprises 1.49 per cent of the total caseload. India has become the fastest country in the world to reach the 4 million Covid-19 vaccination mark in 18 days.

Maharashtra reported 2992 new Covid-19 cases, 7030 discharges and 30 deaths in last twenty-four hours. With this, there are 20,33,266 cases in the state, including 19,43,335 recoveries. The death toll stands at 51,169, while the active cases in the state have reached to 37,516. Mumbai city reported the highest number of fresh cases in the state, while seven persons succumbed to the infection. With this, Mumbai’s total case count grew to 3,10,141 and death toll to 11,375.

The national capital reported 150 new coronavirus cases, 153 recoveries and six deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, One in two residents in Delhi has been exposed to the coronavirus and developed antibodies for the infection, the fifth serological survey in the capital has found.

Rajasthan reported 92 new Covid-19 cases, 196 recoveries, and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this the state has 3,17,766 cases, including 3,13,304 recoveries. The death toll stands at 2,770 and there are 1,692 active cases in the state.

Jharkhand’s Covid-19 tally rose to 1,18,793 as 59 more people tested positive for the infection, while two fresh fatalities pushed the state’s coronavirus death toll to 1,075.

In all, 95 fresh Covid-19 cases were detected as 25,445 tests were conducted in Andhra Pradesh in 24 hours, consequent to which the total confirmed positives increased to 8,88,099. 129 patients got cured while one more succumbed in the state. The number of active cases fell further to 1,162 after a total of 8,79,780 recoveries and 7,157 deaths.

Karnataka reported 426 new Covid-19 cases, 433 discharges and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours, meanwhile neighbouring states Tamil Nadu reported 514 new Covid-19 cases, 533 discharges, and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours, while Kerala reported 6356 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. A total of 8,71,548 recoveries reported in the state till now. Active cases stand at 69,113.
