In the village of Mirpur in Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, a fight between two families turned violent. During the altercation, a soldier’s hand was severely injured. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV installed outside the house. The injured soldier, Harbhajan Singh, was on leave from his duty in Srinagar when the incident occurred. His wife, Balwinder Kaur, explained that her husband had returned home a week ago.

This afternoon, some boys from the village were assaulting her sister-in-law, who is mentally disabled. When her husband tried to rescue her, the attackers turned on him with weapons. The attack was recorded on the CCTV camera outside their home. One of the attackers struck her husband with a hatchet, causing a severe injury to his hand. They immediately took him to Dasuya Civil Hospital, but due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to Hoshiarpur. Balwinder Kaur has demanded justice from the police administration and strict action against those who attacked her husband.
