‘Content is Everywhere’ Comes True: College Student Records Reel During Graduation Exam in Bihar; Clip Goes Viral

The sanctity of exam halls in Bihar is under renewed scrutiny following a viral video that has sparked outrage. In a bizarre incident at a Lalit Narayan Mithila University-affiliated college, a student named Nirjala filmed a 14-second video during her graduation Part 2 exam and shared it on Instagram, garnering over 2 lakh views within 24 hours. The incident has raised serious concerns about exam conduct protocols at the university. Despite assurances from authorities about fair exams, students in the Begusarai district have been exposed to lax supervision, openly using mobile phones and even creating social media content during exams.

Speaking to reporters, students highlighted the stark contrast in supervision between secondary and tertiary exams, emphasizing that while stringent checks exist in matriculation exams, university exams remain largely unchecked. This lax oversight has turned exam centres into “entertainment centres,” lamented some students.

This is not the first time such malpractice has come to light in Begusarai. Last year, students were found photographing question papers and sharing them via WhatsApp for answers, underscoring persistent challenges in maintaining exam integrity in the region. The controversy has reignited calls for stricter enforcement of exam regulations to restore credibility and fairness in academic assessments across Bihar.
