Addressing a joint session of Parliament, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted her government’s efforts to foster an environment where youth can aspire to and achieve significant dreams. While discussing government initiatives in education, some opposition members interjected with shouts about ‘NEET.’

1. A significant achievement has emerged from Jammu and Kashmir during this election. Decades-old voting records have been shattered. Over the past four decades, Kashmir witnessed low voter turnout due to strikes and shutdowns. Anti-India elements used this to misrepresent Jammu and Kashmir’s global stance. However, this time, the people of Jammu and Kashmir decisively responded to such forces.

2. The world has witnessed Indians electing a stable, fully-mandated government for the third consecutive time, a feat achieved after six decades. This repeated trust in my government reflects the people’s confidence that only we can fulfill their aspirations. It serves as validation for the decade-long mission of service and good governance that my administration has pursued.

3. Any disruption in examinations is unacceptable. Government recruitments and exams must uphold integrity and transparency. My government is committed to ensuring fair investigations and imposing strict penalties on those involved in recent incidents of paper leaks.

4. The upcoming budget will include significant economic and social decisions, marking historic steps forward. We will accelerate reforms to meet the aspirations of our people, fostering competitive-cooperative federalism.

5. India has now become the world’s fifth-largest economy. Despite global pandemics and conflicts, we have maintained an average growth of 8 percent over the past decade. This growth underscores the success of our reforms. India currently contributes 15 percent to global growth, and our aim is to ascend to become the world’s third-largest economy.
