Amazon MGM Studios has given the green light to the upcoming zombie comedy film ‘I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale,’ which marks a collaboration with Ryan Gosling’s production company, General Admission. The project, based on an unpublished short story by Adam and Daniel Cooper, will be adapted for the screen by the Cooper Twins themselves, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan Gosling, along with his partner Jessie Henderson at General Admission, will produce the film under their first-look deal with Amazon. The Cooper Twins, recognized for their directing of short films featured in various festivals and their contributions to major studio marketing campaigns, such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Netflix, and Apple, are set to bring their creative talents to the adaptation.

Set in a “post-post-apocalyptic” world, ‘I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale’ delves into the challenges faced by former zombies as they strive to reintegrate into society. Specific plot details remain undisclosed since the project recently gained attention when it entered the market in June.

While Ryan Gosling is involved as a producer, he is not slated to star in the film, and the directorial role is still vacant at this stage. Gosling, following his work on Universal’s ‘The Fall Guy,’ is preparing for his next acting role in ‘Project Hail Mary’ for Amazon MGM, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Cooper Twins’ adaptation is expected to showcase their creative expertise, having garnered acclaim and awards such as the Clio and Golden Trailer awards for their contributions to marketing campaigns.
