In a poignant event that has drawn widespread attention online, a candidate preparing for the UPSC Prelims exam was refused entry to her exam venue in Gurugram because she arrived late. A video capturing the emotional response of her parents has gained immense popularity, leading to discussions across various online platforms.

The video depicts the candidate’s mother in an unconscious condition while her father cries out in anguish. Amid the distress, the aspirant is heard trying to console her father, saying, “Papa, please have water and calm down. Why are you behaving like this? I will appear for the exam next year. It’s not a big deal.”

The father expresses his sorrow openly, saying, “Ek saal gaya baabu hamara (A year has been wasted).”  In response, she reassures him that she will take the exam next year and succeed.

The caption of the video reads, “Heartbreaking video. Condition of Parents who came along with their daughter for the UPSC Prelims exam today, as their daughter was not allowed to be late. The exam starts at 9: 30 am, and they were at the gate at 9 am but were not allowed in by the principal of S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sector 47, Gurugram.”
