Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu officially assumed office on June 13, following his swearing-in ceremony on June 12 in Vijayawada. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) attended the event where Naidu, along with a 24-member cabinet representing Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena Party, and BJP MLAs, took the oath administered by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer.

Shortly after taking office, CM Naidu updated his LinkedIn profile, expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming mandate received from the people of Andhra Pradesh, securing 164 seats in the Assembly. He emphasized the role of grassroots workers and leaders in achieving this victory and pledged to lead a government dedicated to serving the people’s interests.

Chandrababu Naidu’s LinkedIn Message

“As you all are aware, the people of our state have given Team TDP-JSP-BJP an overwhelming mandate to serve them with 164 seats in the Assembly. This was a result of all the hard work put in by our grassroots karyakartas, office bearers and leaders, who toiled day and night to take our team’s vision for the future to the people. Their devotion paved the way for a larger Team Andhra Pradesh to emerge, with people across the state unitedly pitching in as our fourth alliance partner with their votes. Ours will be a people’s government. We shall strive to fulfill their expectations and deliver a people-centric governance to the best of our abilities.”

This marks Naidu’s fourth term as Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, his second since the state’s bifurcation in 2014. Previously, he served from 1995 to 2004 before the bifurcation and resumed office from 2014 to 2019 post-bifurcation. His alliance, comprising TDP, Janasena Party, and BJP, secured a majority with TDP holding 135 seats, Janasena Party 21, and BJP 8 seats in the 175-member assembly, while the opposition YSR Congress Party holds 11 seats.
