Kejriwal Leads Protest March To BJP HQ, Challenges PM To Arrest AAP Leaders

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to arrest all AAP leaders and announced a protest march to the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Sunday at noon. It follows the arrest of Kejriwal’s former aide, Bibhav Kumar, in connection with the assault case involving AAP MP Swati Maliwal. Kejriwal accused the Prime Minister of playing a “Jail ka Khel” with AAP leaders, stating that the BJP is targeting and jailing them one by one. He mentioned that leaders, including himself, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, and Sanjay Singh have been imprisoned and now Raghav Chadha, Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj are being threatened with arrest.

Kejriwal stated, “Tomorrow, I am coming to the BJP headquarters with all my top leaders, MLAs, and MPs at noon. You can put in jail whoever you want.” He added, “You might be thinking that by putting AAP leaders in jail, you will be able to crush AAP, but AAP is an ideology that has touched the hearts of people.”

Meanwhile, criticizing Kejriwal regarding the Swati Maliwal assault case, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, “Today, the only question that Arvind Kejriwal needs to answer is that first, they do Bhrashtachar, then they do Durachar, then Dushprachar and now it is ‘Emotional Attyachar. Why is Kejriwal silent on the Bibhav Kumar-Swati Maliwal issue? What are the secrets that Bibav Kumar has that Arvind Kejriwal is protecting a criminal like him?” “The entire incident has taken place in the presence of AAP. It has taken place as dissidents of AAP. It has been done by AAP. It’s been done to an AAP leader. It’s been confirmed by the AAP leader, but you are saying it is ‘Saajish’ of the BJP. This kind of obsession with the BJP must stop, and they must answer why women are not safe even in the residence of Kejriwal,” he added.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory due to the AAP protest, indicating that traffic will be heavy on DDU Marg, IP Marg, Minto Road, and Vikas Marg. They also stated that DDU Marg might be closed for traffic from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and advised commuters to avoid these routes. Bibhav Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on Saturday and subsequently placed in five-day police custody by the Tis Hazari Court. The former aide of the AAP supremo emailed the Delhi Police, expressing his willingness to cooperate with the ongoing investigation into Maliwal’s assault claim and requested that his complaint be considered as well.
