Israel Iran War Update: Iran Army Says Operation Concluded, Warns US and Israel Against Retaliation

According to CNN, Iranian Chief of Staff Sardar Bagheri declared that Tehran’s military campaign against Israel has “concluded,” but he also issued a warning, saying that if the US assisted Israel in any future moves, their bases would “not have any security” and will be dealt with.

“Israel’s actions in the consulate were condemned so a response should have been given,” Bagheri stated.

He added that Iranian military are still on high alert even though the mission is over.
The bombings this past weekend were clearly retaliatory, according to Iranian sources, after an Israeli strike on April 1 destroyed an Iranian consular building in Damascus.

Iran claims the strike caused the lives of multiple officials, including Mohammed Reza Zahedi, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards. Israel has not accepted responsibility for the incident.
The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that a “new equation” had been formed after its strike on Israel. Iran would henceforth promptly respond to any Israeli attack on its interests, resources, or citizens, he declared.

We have decided to create a new equation, which is that if from now on the Zionist regime attacks our interests, assets, personalities, and citizens, anywhere and at any point we will retaliate against them,” CNN quoted the Commander of the Islamic

Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami as saying to Iranian state TV.
“The Honest Promise operation is a prominent and very clear example of this new equation,” Salami said.

Iraq, meanwhile, announced that it has restored its airspace following an overnight shutdown due to Israeli attacks.
According to CNN, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority stated on Sunday that this decision was made following the effective “mitigation of all risks” that had previously affected the security and safety of civil aviation in Iraq.

The airspace was closed on Saturday night as a precaution following a thorough risk assessment by Iraqi authorities.
In response for an attack on its consulate in Syria, Iran launched more than 200 projectiles at Israel on Saturday.
The Ministry of External Affairs asked Indian nationals to postpone travel to both Iran and the West till further notice in light of the most recent escalation of hostilities.

US President Joe Biden condemned Iran’s attack on Israeli territory earlier today and announced that he will meet with G7 leaders on Monday to plan a coordinated diplomatic response.

“Earlier today, Iran–and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq–launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel. I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms,” Biden said, according to the White House statement.

US President Biden reaffirmed the US’s “ironclad” commitment to Israel’s security during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I’ve just spoken with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel. I told him that Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks – sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel, “He stated.
Furthermore, Biden emphasized that the US will maintain close communication with Israeli authorities.
