IndiGo to commence direct flights between Mumbai and Colombo

IndiGo has recently unveiled plans to introduce new direct flights connecting Mumbai with Colombo, scheduled to commence from April 12.

Operating three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, these flights aim to significantly enhance connectivity between Mumbai, the financial hub of India, and Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. This latest addition positions Mumbai as the fourth Indian city offering direct flights to Colombo, joining Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai in providing seamless travel options between the two nations.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed, “We are delighted to launch direct flights between Mumbai and Colombo, a move that will catalyze travel, trade, and tourism between India and Sri Lanka. With these new flights, IndiGo’s total weekly flights to Colombo from four Indian cities will reach 37.
