With political arena gearing up for elections, the brain storming sessions are intensifying in the BJP. The BJP Central Election Committee is all set to convene in Delhi on Thursday to finalize the candidates for several key states, including Rajasthan. Several senior and eminent names might get a place in the list to be released soon. There are speculations of various names that will get a place in the list.
There is uncertainty surrounding Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav’s candidacy, with the possibility of him contesting from Alwar in Rajasthan or his home state of Haryana. The candidacy of other Union Ministers, including Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Kailash Choudhary, is not in doubt. However, the deliberation over the name of Arjun Ram Meghwal getting ticket is still under scanner.
Along with this, most importantly, the party will try to put an end to the speculations regarding former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant Singh. If Dushyant’s name appears in the first list, then it will be clear that there is no threat to his ticket. There is speculation that the high command wants to replace Dushyant with his mother, former CM Raje, in the Lok Sabha.
Decisions regarding prominent leaders such as Satish Poonia, Rajendra Rathore, Ashok Parnami, and Arun Chaturvedi may also be made today. Additionally, the first list is expected to include candidates from other states such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
