Govindaram: Big leaders should embrace us, we’ll secure the Bikaner seat

In a Congress workers’ convention held in Bikaner, the Pradesh Congress Committee in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa once again targeted the big leaders of Congress. Without naming anyone, he said that some leader weakened the Congress. Consequently, discussions are now underway in political circles about which leader he is referring to. Additionally, he made sharp remarks about former minister Govindaram Meghwal. During the conference, former minister Govindaram Meghwal, while giving a speech, said, “Big leaders should embrace us, and we’ll secure the Bikaner seat.” In response, Randhawa said, “We’ll let them embrace us, but they should be worthy of embracing.” Upon hearing this statement, the workers burst into laughter, and senior party leaders sitting on the stage looked at each other with surprise.
It is noteworthy that Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has been consistently targeting senior leaders of Congress. His statements in conventions held in different districts are making headlines. He is holding responsible the Pradesh leaders for the defeat in the assembly elections. He has also said many times that he could not take a stand on changing tickets himself, which led to the party’s defeat. In the workers’ convention held in Bikaner, he questioned former ministers Dr. B.D. Kalla, Govindaram Meghwal, and Bhawar Singh Bhati, asking why they lost. After this, he told the workers, “You haven’t lost; the leaders sitting on the stage have defeated you. We need to think about this.” Randhawa, with enthusiasm among the workers, said that they should get involved in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. If Congress wants to strengthen itself, it needs to listen to the workers. Just giving speeches won’t work. Randhawa said that even if a leader leaves the party, the workers won’t.
Congress Pradesh President Govind Singh Dotasara said that crime increased during the tenure of Bhajan Lal Sharma. Dotasara also mentioned the recent incidents of rape, murder, and kidnapping. He said on the stage in front of former ministers that we should leave the discussion of the assembly elections and focus on preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. Pointing towards Meghwal and Dr. Kalla, he said that you have more responsibility. Both of them said that they would work with full dedication for the party in the Lok Sabha elections.
Most of the speakers targeted current MP Arjunram Meghwal. Especially Govindaram Meghwal labeled the MP as a “papad seller,” saying that no work was done in five years. He retired from his job and entered politics. Meanwhile, Dotasara said that if someone has to sideline, it should be Congress leader Arjunram. You shouldn’t sideline each other.
