Government Unveils Promising Initiatives

Bhajan Lal Sharma’s government presented the financial statement today, and it’s too early to comment extensively on it. The government needs more time as it has just been formed, and it deserves the opportunity to demonstrate its plans. Criticizing the budget as disappointing would be premature because the government is still in the process of understanding the existing situation. Rajasthan has been given another chance by the double-engine government. Previously, from 2013 to 2018, Rajasthan benefited from a double-engine government, under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje.

She had a comprehensive and expansive experience, unlike the current team led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who became CM immediately after becoming an MLA. Nevertheless, this has instilled a new energy among BJP workers.

While Finance Minister Diya Kumari has experience in both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, this is her first time handling the responsibilities of a Finance Minister. Becoming the Finance Minister of a state like Rajasthan is a significant responsibility. The government has substantial economic challenges, with a debt of over 5 lakh crores. Addressing this debt and finding a way to relieve every Rajasthani from its burden will likely be a focus for the government. The budget has made announcements keeping the common man in mind, including provisions for women’s safety and some provisions for farmers. However, businesses, industrialists, and tax-related plans from the government are yet to be revealed. Talks about reducing fuel prices were underway, but no decision was made.

It is expected that, given the current circumstances, fuel prices might decrease. The central government is also considering reducing prices. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is well aware of the challenges ahead, but the efforts and initiatives should bring better days in Rajasthan.

The double-engine government is expected to be advantageous. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is in close contact with the Prime Minister. The government’s first challenge is to win all 25 seats in the Lok Sabha elections after two months. In the coming days, the Model Code of Conduct might come into effect. In yesterday’s budget, Bhajan’s government made announcements related to electricity, water, and basic amenities, giving the impression that the public might witness a hat-trick of victories.
The current spirit suggests that Bhajan’s government is on a promising track, and when the full-fledged budget arrives, it might be phenomenal.
