India’s beloved ‘jiju’ Nick Jonas, alongside his band, graced the stage during the Lollapalooza India event in Mumbai on Saturday. The Jonas Brothers, comprising Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas, headlined the first day of the festival, closing it with an enthusiastic audience singing and cheering along to their popular tunes.

Taking place at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse, the two-day music extravaganza started with the inaugural performances of artists like the Jonas Brothers and Halsey on the Indian stage.

During the performance, Nick playfully mentioned, “This is our very first time performing in India. The sangeet doesn’t count,” referring to his 2018 pre-wedding ceremony with Priyanka Chopra.

The connection between Priyanka and Nick was not lost on the audience. A placard in the crowd humorously read, “Priyanka won’t be jealous if you say you love me.”

The Jonas Brothers electrified the crowd with their rendition of ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’ from the Priyanka Chopra-starrer ‘Dil Dhadakne Do.’ The audience responded with chants of “Jiju, jiju,” evoking a blushed response from Nick.

Addressing the energetic crowd, Nick exclaimed, “Two incredible nights at Lollapalooza. This crowd is incredible, not just now but all day long. If you’ve been here all day, make some noise, and if you’re going to be here all day, make some noise.” The band treated the audience to songs from their first album, including “SOS,” as well as hit singles like “Waffle House” and “What a Man Gotta Do.”

The second edition of the festival showcased a diverse lineup of over 35 artists from India and around the world, performing on four stages.

Lollapalooza India is promoted and co-produced by BookMyShow, India’s leading entertainment destination, in collaboration with global producers Perry Farrell and C3 Presents. The festival featured performances by various artists, including Kamakshi Khanna, When Chai Met Toast, Skrat, The Raghu Dixit Project, Royal Blood, Lauv, and Halsey.
