Kejriwal joins Delhi’s spiritual wave in ‘Pran Pratishtha’ celebrations

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal celebrated the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in Delhi and participated in ‘bhandaras’ organised across the city. Meanwhile, BJP National President J.P. Nadda and Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva marked the consecration ceremony at Jhandewala Temple in Delhi.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the newly built grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place on January 22, 2024. This event was accompanied by extensive festivities in the town, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively participating in the ceremonial proceedings. The entire nation embraced the festive spirit, celebrating ‘Diwali’ on this auspicious occasion.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal shared pictures on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing his worship at a temple and later participation in the bhandaras. He extended congratulations and best wishes to everyone on this sacred occasion.
Throughout Delhi, people celebrated ‘Diwali’ during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple. Lucky Tiwari from Mayur Vihar mentioned, “We light diyas and candles during the ceremony and also make rangolis. We also watch the live telecast of the Pran Pratishtha on TV.”
Vishal Rai of Hauz Khas expressed, “I celebrated this special day by visiting the nearest temple and lighting diyas.” He added plans to visit Ayodhya with his family soon to seek Lord Ram’s blessings.
Former Mayor and Councillor from Rohini, Preety Agarwal, celebrated uniquely by creating a replica of Ayodhya’s Ram temple outside her house. She offered flowers, lit diyas, and made a 22-kg Laddu for the occasion.
Preeti Agarwal shared, “This is a very special day that is celebrated by everyone, including me and my family. So, I celebrated Diwali and made a laddu of 22 kg myself, along with a few more works. I also made a replica of the Ayodhya temple outside my house and made a selfie point where everyone came and lit lamps and offered flowers. We will send all these flowers to Ayodhya.”
