‘Ram Mandir’ fervour sweeps across Jaipur

Every city and town of Rajasthan has become completely devoted to Ram due to the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony to be held in the Ram temple at Ayodhya on Monday. There is a saffron surge all around. Saffron flags carrying pictures of Lord Ram and Hanuman are flying along roads. All small and big temples have been decorated like what is seen during the Diwali festival. Tableaux are being taken out in every street of Jaipur city. Slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” are being heard in the entire city.
All the big and small markets of the city have been decorated like Diwali. Residents have also decorated their homes. The firecracker shops are decorated like what happens on Diwali. A different kind of festive atmosphere is there in the city before the Republic Day. The celebrations of the Pran Pratistha ceremony are likely to continue till after the Republic Day celebrations. Jaipur is going to be in the headlines three days after the Pran Pratistha ceremony, i.e. on the eve of the Republic Day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take French President Emmanuel Macron, the chief guest of Republic Day, on a tour of major sites in Jaipur on January 25. Macron will reach here in the morning. A big delegation is also coming along with Macron. Some defence and education agreements are on the cards.
Along with this, Macron may also visit some other cities. The Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan will not leave any stone unturned in giving a rousing and grand reception to Emmanuel Macron. But Macron is coming to India at a time when he will get to see an atmosphere like Diwali.
After the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, celebrations will continue across the country. Jaipur is famous for Diwali-related decorations all over the world. People come here from all over the country and abroad. Jaipur has once again been decorated in the same way.
The place where he will visit in old Jaipur has been decorated differently. Special preparations have been made in big temples like Govind Dev Ji, Khole Ke Hanuman Ji, and Dungri Ji. Programs ranging from Prasad distribution to Bhajan Kirtan are being organised.
