Police crackdown on marriage scam in Baramulla: Two fraudsters apprehended

In a significant achievement, the Baramulla Police have successfully apprehended two individuals involved in a marriage scam, following a complaint lodged by Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Dessa Doda.
The complaint, filed at Police Post Mirgund, detailed the fraudulent activities of Mohd Qasim Bhat, son of Gh Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Gund Ibrahim, Trikolbal Pattan. According to the complainant, Mr. Bhat had deceitfully swindled him out of a sum amounting to Rs 1,50,000/- under the pretext of marriage. Disturbingly, when Mr. Bhat sought the recovery of the amount, the accused, Mohd Qasim Bhat, reportedly resorted to intimidation and issued threats of dire consequences.
Responding promptly to the complaint, a case under relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Pattan, initiating a comprehensive investigation
