Israel Defence Forces (IDF) conducted targeted airstrikes on the Gaza Strip residence of Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’ Political Bureau, as part of ongoing military operations. The IDF claims Haniyeh’s home served as a hub for coordinating terrorist activities against Israel. While Haniyeh resides in Qatar, the IDF justified the strike, alleging the house’s dual use as both a residence and a military meeting point.

Simultaneously, IDF spokesperson Lt Col Jonathan Conricus released a video on X revealing weapons within Gaza’s Al Shifa Hospital, a significant medical facility. The footage showed obstructed security cameras, indicating an alleged pattern of Hamas using hospitals for military operations, a violation of international law. Among the findings were weapons and military equipment.

Meanwhile, the IDF said that troops of the Nahal Brigade’s reconnaissance unit found and destroyed weapons and equipment belonging to Hamas’s naval forces in Gaza City’s al-Shati camp, The Times of Israel reported. According to the IDF, the weapons included diving equipment, firearms, and explosive devices.
