‘You & Me’ is slated to launch on various music platforms on 6 October at 1 p.m. KST (Korean Standard Time), according to a report. YG Entertainment, the agency responsible, conveyed, “We have chosen to release it officially as an expression of our gratitude towards the fans who passionately followed and supported us throughout the Born Pink world tour. Our hope is that it will serve as a special keepsake, rekindling the emotions of that period.” The song, composed by Danny Chung, Teddy, 24, and Vince, is a special single that follows BLACKPINK’s Born Pink World Tour (2022-2023), during which Jennie presented the track on stage. Jennie first performed ‘You & Me’ on 15 October, 2022, during the inaugural concert of BLACKPINK’s world tour at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea.
Additionally, she delivered a remixed version of the song at the recent Coachella and BST Hyde Park festivals. As reported by Koreaboo, in a behind-the-scenes video shared on her YouTube channel earlier this year, Jennie disclosed that she had recorded ‘You & Me’ approximately three to four years prior to 2022. She revealed that the song had been considered a potential choice for her solo debut. However, she ultimately embarked on her solo journey on 12 November, 2018, with the release of the single ‘Solo.’
