Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Organisation General Secretary BL Santosh will embark on a two-day visit of Lucknow from July 22-23 to boost prospects of the party in the upcoming Parliamentary polls of 2024. During the visit, he will interact with the ministers of the Uttar Pradesh government as well as the office bearers of the party.
Before the Lok Sabha elections, this visit of Santosh is considered important for the BJP. It assumes significance because State President Bhupendra Chaudhary and Organization General Secretary Dharampal could not reach the meeting led by BJP President JP Nadda on July 7 to decide the Lok Sabha election roadmap in Delhi.
Different dialogue with ‘Special-21’
Sources say that Santosh’s main focus will be on deciding the strategy for the next Lok Sabha elections. For this, there will be brainstorming with the in-charges of 21 clusters created for 80 Lok Sabha seats. These ‘Special-21’ have started working on all the Lok Sabha seats. The BJP, which holds 66 seats in UP, has set a target of a clean sweep for 2024. That’s why, different preparations are being made for each seat. In this, apart from the lost seats, special efforts are being made on the seats won in the close contest. The BJP has formed a three-member team in each Lok Sabha cluster. In this, leaders like Union Minister, Minister in the State Government, former CM or former State President have been included. Seven Union ministers are on duty in UP. Santosh will make a ground strategy by sitting with all of them.
