In a major blow to Sharad Pawar in 65 years of his political career, his nephew and Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly clean bowled his uncle after NCP party president Sharad Pawar humiliated him by making him powerless in the party by not giving any work in the party. Taking it as an insult, Ajit Pawar, who was in touch with Devendra Fadnavis, played a winning shot on Sunday afternoon.
Political tremor in Maharashtra politics can be seen as repeat of year back political game played by the BJP with Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena. The 84-year-old strong Maratha leader Sharad Pawar has claimed that the party still remains with him though some of the legislators have left. Though Sharad Pawar’s trusted lieutenant and recently appointed Party working President Praful Patel, party treasurer Sunil Tatkare, Chief Whip Anil Patil were part of the swearing in ceremony. Interestingly, few ministers having sworn in 3 of them are facing ED enquiry were raided twice includes Praful Patel, Hasan Mushrif, Anil Tatkare (whose daughter Aditi Tatkare has been sworn in as the only lady minister in the cabinet.
