Artist beats ‘Down Syndrome’, comes up with solo exhibition

A Rendezvous with my soul, an abstract art exhibition by artist Hiral Singhal is on display at India Habitat Centre from 24th to 27th May 2023. This is a solo art exhibition where 25 artworks will be presented in the gallery belonging to genre of abstract art. Her all artworks are different from each other. This is her first solo exhibition. She is a self taught artist at the age of 18 years.
Hiral is suffering from Down’s Syndrome, a genetic medical condition. This is a lifelong condition, but Hiral has mastered the art of living with it. She is actively interested in sports and plays badminton and basketball. She is a keen swimmer and has won an inter school swimming competition, filled with boundless energy. Another feather in her cap is her flair for baking which she often uses to treat her loved ones.
For someone who is a trained painter, her works show maturity and dexterity beyond her years. She mostly paints using the most influential red and blue colors and creates ‘abstract paintings’, one of the core styles of art produced in modern history. Hiral was the youngest artist to be selected for a group exhibition in September 2022, in AIFACS called Walk Amongst Souls II. On April 28th 2023 her two art works were put up in NGMA for their exhibition titled Art Connect.
