Vintage artworks  on display

Mexican artist Diego Rivera’s works created by him during his lifetime are on display at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Organised by Crystal Bridges and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the exhibition ‘Diego Rivera’s America’ curated by James Oles and Maria Castro, is coordinated at Crystal Bridges by Jen Padgett, the museum’s acting Windgate curator of craft. More than 130 works of Diego which include this drawings, easel paintings, frescoes etc are showcased alongside his more famous works such as ‘Dance in Tehuantepec’ (1928), ‘The Flowered Canoe’ (1931), ‘Nude with Calla Lilies’ (1944). There are also depictions of flower carriers and vendors exhibited with three paintings by Frida Kahlo including a self-portrait of the latter standing next to the Rivera. The exhibition is on till July 31.
