On Tuesday, former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was brought to the Rouse Avenue Court on to attend proceedings in connection with alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped liquor policy case.

The court is set to hear Sisodia’s lawyer’s rebuttal arguments in his bail plea. Special Judge MK Nagpal extended Sisodia’s judicial custody in the CBI case until 27 April and the ED case until 29 April on Monday. After his judicial custody ended, the AAP leader was physically brought before the court from Tihar.

Recently, Special Judge Nagpal denied bail to Sisodia, stating that the allegations against him are serious in nature and that, at this stage of the case, he does not deserve to be released on bail because he was arrested in this case only on 26 February, 2023, and the investigation into his role has yet to be completed, what to say about some other co-accused involved in the case whose roles are also still being investigated.
