On Sunday, the Congress party in Kerala claimed that there has been police ‘Goonda Raj going on in Kochi after a young person was taken to the hospital for possible police torture.

The Congress MLA, Uma Thomos, and other members of the District Congress Committee paid the victim a visit in the hospital. “In Kochi, there is a police goonda raj. On the face, there are bruises and punch lines. Someone should respond in kind if the cops slap them across the face without cause. The cops behave as if they are not feeling it. “Now the police are only doing the work of collecting money from people. A 29-year-old youth was beaten up by the police for no reason. The police are going crazy. Who said the law doesn’t apply to cops? A protest will be organised against police brutality in the coming days.” Shiyas added.
