IPL 2023: Rohit Sharma feels CSK captain MS Dhoni is fit enough to play few seasons

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma thinks that former Indian captain MS Dhoni can play a few seasons of the IPL.

He said during a press conference, when asked a question about how long Dhoni will represent the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma further added, “I don’t know that this would be his last season, I have been hearing this for the last two to three years, and I believe that he is fit enough to play.

Speculation of Dhoni’s retirement has been on the cards, and despite his age, he is still considered one of the fittest cricketers among all the Indian players.

Former Australian cricketer and CSK player Shane Watson said that “I heard that this may be his last IPL, but I don’t think so, despite Dhoni’s fitness, he can play for another three or four years.” His reading of the game has made him an able leader.

Watson went on to say that Dhoni’s skills on the ground are remarkable, and he has played a significant role in CSK’s success.

Dhoni is still an active cricketer and will represent CSK in the upcoming IPL season, starting on 31 March. He is set to lead CSK in the opening encounter against the Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday.
