As is rightly said, Creativity knows no boundaries, renowned architect Shikha Setia who has been practicing architecture for over decades, in India and UAE, is all set to unveil her other creative pursuits. Her first art exhibition titled, “A Journey Through the Shades” will be taking place from 17th to 20th Nov, 2022 at Museo Camera, Gurgaon.
The artwork of Shikha is characterized by the sense of being and of contentment. Architecture, travel, music, art and culture, she believes are synonymous to our living. And they bind us all. All of us, without boundaries, demarcated or created. The art works are divided in two series, “Pause in the journey” and “In the passing”. Pause in the Journey portrays nothing is singular in nature. It all exists in sets. In the dominion of biophilia, our submission to it is also our victory.
In the passing depicts structures breathe!. They do, and you feel that in whatever is connected with them. And when you look at the framework, wouldn’t you call it alive? Spaces shape us and our lives. Buildings need us as much as we need them. Their forms are full of possibilities, and they can make us rethink tradition and ideas. Their connection with the elements around us is remarkable. The exhibition will be inaugurated on 17th Nov in the august gathering of eminent personalities viz., photographer Nitin Rai, Ex Jt Secy, GoI, Kiran Chadha, golfer Neelam Pratap Rudy, cricketer Atul Wasan, actor Nasir Abdullah, choreographer Liza Varma and singer & emcee Vandana Vadhera, etc.
