Investing in sports can lead us to progressive prospects

India needs to bring its performance to an elite level in every basic sector concerned. The growth potential is high while the efforts are scarce. To join the race of developed nations, we need to pay special attention to our basic pillars: Education, health, and the sports sector. As education plays a vital role in shaping the present and future of the country, it is counted as a fundamental factor in securing a nation’s economic and social progress. Therefore, strengthening the education sector is very important to bolster the foundation.

Medical facilities are the basic necessity of every demographic and after witnessing the current situation of the world, we clearly understand the importance of their betterment. Due to a lack in this sector at present, we have seen major atrocities but there is no use crying over what’s done, we need to focus on the future. There should be regular health education drives in different regions to enlighten the masses of the importance of fitness and the resources provided to ensure the same.

Lastly, I believe that sports have always been a uniting factor amongst the masses which even drives them towards a healthier and happier lifestyle. It has the potential to get India out of several problems like unemployment, drug addiction, obesity, lack of funds and revenue, etc. as well. Not only this but it can help bolster the tourism, employment generation, public relations, revenue generation of the nation, and therefore, directly contributing to its growth. Therefore, we need quality not just anything for the sake of development in this sector. We need good stadiums where we could host national and international tournaments in the future. We do not lack in funds as much as we lack proper guidance here. I have personally experienced this, so we need to work towards eradicating this gap.

I believe that the major factor which will bring about these changes is the advancement in the infrastructure, where we lag at. A good infrastructure matters the most and in India, we do have a vast spread and huge infrastructure but we do not have advanced facilities there and neither have swift and decent management of these places which make them a hard choice for the common masses. We need to keep the future in mind with these new infrastructures and not just the present, this way we’ll stay with the best in the world. The ones looking after this should take this responsibility of putting the government money to the best of its use with quality staff in place so that they prefer their creation, when in use, then be it a school, college, stadium, hospital, anything. And one very important thing ensuring the well-being of the nation is the quality of consumables. We should implement strict food laws to ensure this and stop the circulation of substandard food items. I have analyzed the structure of the foreign countries and have deep personal experience in the field by now, that is why I can suggest this. All I wish to convey that we need to work together to achieve this. We should remember, even if the government provides us with the infrastructure, we preserve it. And all of us, all the states and Union territories need to work collectively towards this goal.
