During a public meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of pursuing a policy that “misguides and deprives” the poor. He highlighted the nine years of the BJP-led government, emphasizing their commitment to serving citizens and promoting good governance.
PM Modi further asserted that India’s achievements today are being recognized worldwide, contrasting it with the suffering people endured under the Congress-led government before 2014. He accused the Congress of betraying ex-servicemen by misusing the concept of ‘One Rank, One Pension’, while the BJP not only implemented the policy but also provided arrears to the veterans.
The Prime Minister went on to recall the grievances prevalent before 2014, including corruption protests, terrorist attacks, reluctance to build border roads, and a remote-controlled government. However, he credited the transformative change to the people’s vote in 2014, and highlighted the global discussions surrounding India’s development. PM Modi alleged that the Congress party has consistently misled and subjected the poor to suffering through their policies.
