Throughout history, there have been numerous accounts of unusual and sometimes bizarre objects falling from the sky. While most of us associate rain with water droplets, there have been occasions when the heavens have seemingly showered us with more unexpected items. These occurrences have puzzled scientists and ignited the imagination of people worldwide. Here, we explore five intriguing instances of things that have ‘rained’ from the sky.

Frogs
The phenomenon of frogs falling from the sky, known as “frog rain,” has been documented in various parts of the world. One of the most famous accounts took place in 1873 in Kansas, USA. Eyewitnesses reported seeing frogs raining down during a thunderstorm. While it may sound like something out of a science fiction novel.

Fish
Fish falling from the sky is another astonishing natural occurrence. In 2015, residents of a small town in northern Thailand were bewildered when they experienced a downpour of small fish. This strange event was attributed to a phenomenon known as “animal rain,” where small fish are lifted from a water source by a waterspout, then carried and released over land. While this event may not be common, it is a reminder of the incredible forces of nature.

Money
Imagine walking down the street and suddenly being showered with banknotes falling from the sky. This unusual event occurred in Kuwait in 2012 when bundles of cash rained down on a busy intersection. It turned out that the money was part of a publicity stunt by a local company, but it left onlookers both amazed and bewildered. While not a natural occurrence, the sight of money raining from the sky is a scenario most people can only dream of.

Red Rain
In 2001, residents of Kerala, India, witnessed a strange phenomenon when red-colored rain fell from the sky. The red rain continued for several weeks, staining everything it touched. Scientists were initially baffled by this occurrence, but they later discovered that the red coloration was due to the presence of airborne spores of a type of algae.

Golf Balls
Golf enthusiasts would be surprised to learn that golf balls have also been known to fall from the sky. In 1969, a golf course in Punta Gorda, Florida, experienced a bizarre event when golf balls began raining down during a thunderstorm. It was later revealed that a nearby tornado had picked up the balls from a golf course and redistributed them over the area. While no one was harmed, it certainly added a unique twist to the game of golf.
