In a major action taken on the orders of Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij the police department has suspended 372 investigating officers with an immediate effect following their causal approach. ADGP Crime is sued orders to top police officers of the concerned districts to ensure the same. Besides, the officials also have been directed to submit the reports to the Directorate General of Police after the implementation of the orders. Police Headquarters has given orders to the Police Commissioners of Panchkula, Gurugram and Sonipat as well as the Superintendents of Police of Hisar, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sirsa, Jind Rewari and Rohtak pertain ing to the same. Notably, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij took major action two days ago against the negligent investigating officers of the police and approved the suspension of 372 investigating officers. Anil Vij was not satisfied due to no action being taken in one-year-old padding cases. It is worth mention- ing that around 3229 cases have been pending in various police stations of the state in the last year. Despite the repeated reminders sent by Vij regarding these cases, no action was taken which annoyed him. Divulging the aforesaid information, officials of Anil Vij’s office, several reminders were sent to the investigating officers by the Home Minister repeatedly giving reasons and taking appropriate action but the scenario remained unchanged.
