Three more opposition MPs were suspended from Rajya Sabha for this week on Thursday. They were creating a ruckus in the house against inflation. The suspended AAP MPs include Sandeep Kumar Pathak, Sushil Kumar Gupta, and an independent MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan.
Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh announced their suspension “from the service of the Council for the remainder of the current week under rule 256.”
After this, 27 MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been suspended, out of which 23 are from Rajya Sabha and four from Lok Sabha.
Earlier on Wednesday, AAP MP Sanjay Singh was suspended from the Rajya Sabha for throwing paper on the chair during proceedings of the House.
Moreover, seven of the 19 suspended members belong to TMC, six MPs from DMK, three from TRS, two from CPM, and one from CPI.
These leaders includes TMC’s Sushmita Dev, Mausam Noor, Shanta Chhetri, Dola Sen, Santanu Sen, Abir Ranjan Biswar, Md. Nadimul Haque; DMK’s Kanimozhi NVN Somu, M Hamamed Abdulla, S Kalyanasundaram, R Girranjan, NR Elango, M Shanmugam; TRS’s B Lingaiah Yadav, Ravihandra Vaddiraju, Damodar Rao Divakonda; CPI (M)’s A.A. Rahim, V Sivadasan; and CPI’s Sandosh Kumar P.
Meanwhile, the suspended opposition MPs sat on dharna in front of the Gandhi statue since last night. They had announced a 50-hour-long dharna. It is noteworthy that 24 MPs of different parties have been suspended from the session due to indecent behavior with uproar inside the House. Of these, four Congress MPs have been suspended for the entire session and others for this week.
The dharna of these suspended MPs from Rajya Sabha continued till 1 pm. They have also got permission for this long dharna. The suspended Congress MP tweeted a video of a mosquito sitting on the hand of an MP, saying, “There are mosquitoes in the Parliament complex, but opposition MPs are not afraid. He also wrote that Mansukh Mandaviya Ji please save the blood of Indians in Parliament.”
However, the MPs sitting on the dharna include Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay Singh, TMC’s Shantanu Sen, and Derek, CPI’s Sandosh Kumar and TRS’ Ravichandra Vadiraju and a DMK MP.
