According to intelligence reports during the second week of November accessed exclusively by The Daily Guardian, the presence and movement of 278 terrorists have been indicated in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).
Input indicated the movement of 195 terrorists opposite the Valley region and 83 terrorists opposite the Jammu region in a sector pattern with various launching posts ready to infiltrate the Indian border and planning to carry out BAT and IED attacks.
Reports said that 33 Lashkar and Hizbul terrorists in Losar and Sunar were in front of the Gurez sector, while 20 Lashkar and Jaish terrorists were present on the launching pad of Ratapani and Qasim-2 in front of Machil. In Baramulla, LeT terrorists were planning to carry out terror attacks in Sopore town, while Al Badr and 24 Lashkar terrorists were present in front of Naugam in Katha (Baik).
In South Kashmir, Pulwama LeT had plans to carry out an IED attack in Tral. At the same time, intelligence agencies have informed that, 25 terrorists of Hizbul and Lashkar are present at the Kharameru and Jungle-3 launching pads. In front of Rampur, 23 terrorists belonging to Hizbul, Jaish and Lashkar have infiltrated the Indian border near the Bathahalan launching pad.
LeT was also planning to target political leaders in the Monghal area of Kulgam district. Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were also planning to carry out grenade lobbing in hotels and guesthouses, targeting political leaders in Chawalgam, Kathua and Samba.
At least 23 terrorists of Lashkar and Jaish as well as Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI, have infiltrated the border into the Jammu region, especially in front of Poonch, at Kacharban, Polas and Tungwali. Meanwhile, 33 terrorists are present at Batal, Tattapani, Barmoch and Jash at launching pads in front of Krishna valley. At the launching pads in front of Bhimbergali, Tarkundi, Mathriyani, Khaad, Khuireta, 24 terrorists are ready to infiltrate the Indian border. Five Lashkar terrorists are also present at the Daska Camp launching pad in front of Hiranagar.
Drones and UAVs were also sighted opposite Kathua and Samba sectors at night. The usage of a code word “Parinda” was indicated for the drones by Pakistani rangers.
A threat on NH-44 to 33 military and Special Forces installations and its misuse by terrorists for movement towards the Valley after successful infiltration cannot be ruled out right now.
