Two people were killed and four others hurt when a speeding car collided with a stopped car on the Yamuna Motorway in Mathura, as per the report.
The collision happened close to Milestone 118 within the jurisdiction of Mathura district’s Mahavan police station. A automobile that had been punctured, according to the police, was parked on the side of the motorway.
In the meantime, a fast moving vehicle travelling from Agra to Noida struck the parked vehicle from behind.
At the time of the accident, two of the victims were said to be engaged in fixing the flat tyre and died in the collision. The deceased were identified as 70-year-old Yogendra and 32-year-old Pooja, both residents of Delhi.
While the four people boarded in the second car were left injured and taken to a private hospital. Police are investigating the matter.
Earlier, around 70 people have been injured in a collision between two private buses in Melpattampakkam of Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu on Monday, police said.
