Around 1500 Haryana police employees are missing. Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujit Kapoor has called for a report regarding this. He has also enquired from all SP, HAP and IRB commandants about such soldiers who have not come to the job for six months. These include officers ranging from constable to inspector rank. The DGP has also sent a letter in this regard to all the field officers.
It has been said in the letter that a list of dismissed employees who have been absent for six months or for less than six months in the last ten years should be given. Haryana Police officials say that this number may reach 2000 after complete reports come from the districts. Earlier in 2022, Home Minister Anil Vij had asked for the data of such employees from the then DGP PK Aggarwal.
Now the new DGP has again started the exercise in this matter on the orders of the Home Minister. Soon its complete report will reach the DGP. After the complete report comes, the DGP will seek written explanation from the absent employees.
If a valid answer is not received, action will be taken to suspend them. It is being told that due to their children going abroad, many police personnel have also gone abroad and are not joining duty even despite repeated notices. DGP is collecting details of such employees.
