The Uttar Pradesh police have deployed numerous cameras across various locations in Sambhal as part of ‘Operation Trinetra’. Sambhal SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat reported that since July 2023, 12,200 cameras have been installed in 4,200 locations in Sambhal.

‘Operation Trinetra’, initiated by the UP administration, involves the installation of CCTV cameras by the police and the public, with the aim of using them for traffic management and other police and administration-related purposes. These cameras are integrated into the police database.

According to an official release by the Uttar Pradesh Police, CCTV cameras in all 75 districts have helped solve 1,355 crime cases since the operation’s launch on July 10.

DGP Vijay Kumar stated earlier that under Operation ‘Trinetra’, 3,50,000 cameras have been installed throughout Uttar Pradesh to aid in crime prevention. He emphasized that the cameras have been instrumental in solving cases quickly, as recorded events help in identifying and apprehending criminals.

‘Operation Trinetra’, which began on July 10, 2023, in Uttar Pradesh, India, uses CCTV cameras to monitor and regulate public activities with the goal of preventing crime.
