Guwahati police on Tuesday seized a large number of contraband drugs worth more than Rs 14 crore and also arrested a person. Meanwhile, the arrested man has been identified as Mirajaul Islam. “The ambulance bearing registration number MN-03C-0037 was coming from Manipur,” said Partha Sarathi Mahanta. Based on the secret information the operation was conducted by the Guwahati police led by Joint Commissioner of Partha Sarathi Mahanta and ADCP Kalyan Pathak. During the operation 50,000, Yaba tablets and 200 grams of heroin were recovered from the ambulance.
