US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social addressing rising pressure to make grand jury transcripts public in the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell criminal cases on Saturday, July 19.

Even though Trump said he had asked for the release of the documents, he criticized those demanding transparency.
“It will always be more, more, more. MAGA!” he wrote, referring to ongoing demands from what he called “troublemakers and radical left lunatics.”

DOJ Asks Court to Unseal Testimony

A day earlier, the US Department of Justice had requested federal judges to unseal the grand jury testimonies. This move came after Trump publicly urged the DOJ on Thursday to release the documents—if the court approved.

Trump stated he had instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to “produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval.”

Trump Slightly Changes Tone

In his Saturday post, Trump called for the release of all grand jury testimony, not just the “pertinent” parts as he had mentioned earlier. He repeated that the final decision should still lie with the court.

“I have asked the Justice Department to release all Grand Jury testimony with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval,” he reiterated.

However, he expressed doubt that this would satisfy critics.
“With that being said, and even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request.”

Pressure Comes From All Sides

The push to release Epstein-related files has gained momentum. Even some of Trump’s loyal supporters are joining critics in demanding full transparency. Public interest in the case remains strong, especially since Epstein’s 2019 death in jail, which authorities ruled a suicide, occurred after his arrest on child sex trafficking charges.

Defamation Lawsuit Against Rupert Murdoch

Trump’s post came just a day after he sued media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal for defamation. The lawsuit is over a report that claimed Trump once sent a “bawdy” letter to Jeffrey Epstein on his 50th birthday.

Trump denied the authenticity of the letter and is seeking at least $10 billion in damages.
