Prince William and Kate Middleton is the Prince and Princess of Wales, have started another phase of their lives as they move into Forest Lodge, the historic estate in Windsor. However, despite the bigger house, the couple has opted to continue without live-in staff. The trusted nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo and housekeepers will stay in cottages on the periphery of the estate. It reflects the couple’s continued desire to afford their children a sense of normalcy as much as possible and balance this with royal responsibilities.

What is the Legacy of Forest Lodge
This Georgian mansion was built in the 1770s and has deep royal connections and the property entered the Crown Estate in 1829, serving as a house for the Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park.
For several centuries, it has seen the arrival and departure of royals and their guests. In the 1970s, there was even speculation that Princess Anne and her then husband, Mark Phillips, might be moving there.
Situated within Windsor Great Park, this home grants the family access to enormous green spaces while remaining close to Windsor Castle and other royal estates.
