Speculation about President Donald Trump’s well-being has picked up speed on social media in the past few days, driven by unsubstantiated reports and internet rumors. The gossip picked up after a thread on the platform Threads said Melania Trump was spotted at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Despite all the chatter online, Trump publicly broached the topic on Truth Social, saying, “Never felt better in my life.” But the utterance did nothing to silence the gossip online.

What fueled the rumors?
The intensified interest in Trump’s health started following his appearance with visible bruising on his hand at a recent public outing. On Saturday, he was the leading trending topic on X as people noticed that he hadn’t been seen publicly since an August 26 cabinet meeting. Some recalled the lack of any planned public outings over the weekend as they further speculated.

The Walter Reed post
On Sunday, one Threads user said she spotted Melania Trump making a visit to Walter Reed’s labor and delivery unit on Thursday. Looking at reports of Trump going missing, I find it odd that Melania was just wandering around the halls of Walter Reed to follow up with news that her husband is MIA,” she commented. Responding to one of the comments on social media, the woman stated, “Babe, it isn’t a rumor that Melania was visiting; several patients and staff can attest to this. The rumor soon went viral on social sites, sparking further intrigue regarding Donald Trump’s well-being.
One user posted on X, “JD Vance, Don Jr., Melania, Ivanka, & Tiffany haven’t posted in more than 2 days. (Unheard of). Melania was seen at Walter Reed.” Another posed the question, “Does Melania wander the halls of Walter Reed frequently?”
To date, there is no confirmed report that Melania Trump went to Walter Reed or that President Trump was admitted or treated there.
