A Saturday night, July 12, shooting in the Levittown area of Middletown Township resulted in one fatality and two other persons being hurt. The gunfire erupted after an altercation, Middletown Township police Capt. Peter Feeney said, but further information has not been released.
Middletown Township officers, along with the help of Falls Township police and Bristol Township police, swarmed to Quickset Road off Quarry Road around 10:30 pm after hearing reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found three people with gunshot wounds. One of the victims died from the injuries later on, officials confirmed.
While the police managed the situation, firefighters and emergency medical services were also sent in to assist. In the meantime, a Facebook posting detailed a ‘heavy police presence’ in Levittown’s Quincy Hollow area.
The post then went on to say, “Several ambulances were scrambled to the scene and two left very quickly with patient in back of each. According to scanner reports, Firefighters were called to the scene to aid paramedics with a patient in cardiac arrest.”
The probe is still ongoing with the police still gathering more evidence.
