US President Donald Trump is all set to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday. The summit will focus on finding a way to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Trump spoke to the reporters at the White House on Thursday. He stated that he will figure out if the meeting is not going to go well and will end it very quickly. He also mentioned that his meeting with Putin will help figure out where everyone stands and if the war can be ended in the near future.
Trump’s View of the Ukraine War
Trump often claims that the war would never have happened if he had been in the office in 2022. He said, “If I weren’t President, in my opinion, he would much rather take over all of Ukraine. But I am President, and he’s not going to mess around with me,” he stated. He further asserted that the war should never have happened.
