Trump Copied Mamdani Signature Look
The internet quickly started to compare the President’s new look with the signature style of New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. The comparison came up barely hours after the two men had a high-profile meeting at the White House.

Journalist Ahmed Baba added, “He meets with Mamdani one time and immediately tries to step his swag up.” One such user shared an older picture of Mamdani, who is often seen in a burgundy turtleneck and a blazer, insinuating that Trump did it on purpose.
Also, political commentator Russell Drew chimed in, “Yikes! Today Donald Trump looks like a cross between Emperor Palpatine and Don Corleone! Zohran Mamdani really effed him up.”

Trump and Mamdani Oval Office Meeting
The meeting between Trump and Mamdani on Friday concluded surprisingly. Despite hailing from different political camps, and even despite Mamdani having previously labeled Trump a “fascist,” the meeting was incredibly positive.
Trump ended up praising Mamdani and even went against common Republican criticisms of him. When directly asked about Mamdani’s past negative descriptions of him, Trump surprisingly said it was “ok.” Trump even said that he wants to see Mamdani succeed, saying that he would feel “very comfortable” living in a New York run by the mayor-elect.
“I expect to be helping him, not hurting him,” Trump said of Mamdani during a news conference. “I want New York City to be great,” he added.
The warm words and the sudden fashion change have made the interaction between the veteran President and the mayor-elect a major talking point, both in politics and fashion circles.
