Arkansas State Police have identified the two victims of the recent double slaying at Devil’s Den State Park. They are Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, a couple who recently relocated to Prairie Grove from out-of-state.

The pair was discovered deceased along a hiking trail Saturday afternoon when they were out hiking with their two little girls, ages 7 and 9. Fortunately, the children were not injured and are now being cared for by extended family members.

Description of Suspects

The authorities have issued a description of the suspect, who is wanted for the offense. He is a white male, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a ballcap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves, in addition to carrying a black backpack.

He was last seen driving a black four-door car, possibly a Mazda, with the license plate taped up, going towards Highway 170 or 220, by an exit off a park.

The FBI Little Rock field office has been working in conjunction with the Arkansas State Police and has made available assistance in the way of personnel and specialized assets if necessary.

Devil’s Den Closed Amid Probe

Part of an ongoing investigation, all walking trails at Devil’s Den State Park have been closed. Pool and picnic areas, however, are open. The on-scene investigation by the Arkansas State Police was completed by Sunday morning.

Following the tragedy, Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders made a public announcement, stating, “We are devastated by today’s tragic news out of Devil’s Den State Park and are in close communication with State Police and the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism as they investigate to find the suspect.” She added, “We are praying for the victims’ family and friends, and have every confidence that law enforcement will not rest until the suspect is brought to justice.”

The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials urge anyone with information to come forward as the search for the suspect intensifies.
