The deadly blast at a production facility in Russia’s Ryazan region has claimed at least 20 lives and left 134 others injured, according to an update from local emergency services on Monday.

Fire Sparked the Incident

Governor Pavel Malkov confirmed that the tragedy began last Friday when a fire broke out inside one of the workshops at the factory. However, what caused the fire remains uncertain, and the type of production carried out at the facility has not been revealed.

Survivors Receive Treatment

Authorities said that out of the 134 injured, 31 people are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals in Ryazan and Moscow. The remaining 103 are receiving outpatient care. Officials have not shared more details about the plant’s operations but continue to focus on rescuing and supporting those affected.

Cause Still a Mystery

Despite widespread speculation in Russian media, no official explanation has been given about what triggered the explosion. The lack of clarity over the factory’s work and the fire’s origin continues to raise questions as investigations move forward.
