Social media was rapidly inundated with videos of the aftermath. One clip showed plumes of flames billowing above buildings as scared individuals cried. In another, residents fled for safety as a fireball blazed between houses.

A man was seen sprinting down a street, while others stood in shock at the smoke covering the sky. Screams and cries of panic echoed through the capital as missiles landed.

Residents Recall the Impact
Locals described the terrifying moment the airstrikes hit. “The sound of explosions was very strong,” said Hussein Mohamed, who lives near the presidential palace.

Another resident, Ahmed al-Mekhlafy, told AP, “The house was rocked, and the windows were shattered.” The strikes left many residents shaken, with smoke still visible across parts of Sanaa hours after the attack.
Israel Silent, Houthis Defiant
Israel has not officially confirmed Sunday’s attack. However, it comes after Israel last week said it had struck Houthi-controlled energy infrastructure in Yemen.
Houthi leaders quickly vowed revenge. They said the attacks would not weaken their commitment to fighting against Israel.

“No matter how much they bomb, we will not abandon Gaza, and this is a pledge we made to our people in the Strip, and we will not retreat from it as long as there is a drop of blood pulsing in us,” said Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of the Houthis’ media office.
