The long-awaited discussion between External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar and Kuwait’s Foreign Minister began in New Delhi, highlighting the lasting alliance between the two countries. Emphasizing the rich history of their bond, Dr. Jaishankar noted, “Both nations share a deep friendship, with centuries of connections.”
Dr. Jaishankar referred to as a “living bridge” linking the two countries. He expressed his appreciation to the Kuwaiti government for their assistance and support of Indian citizens living there.
In a period when the Middle East is still a turbulent area, the discussions naturally shifted to the ongoing issues. Dr. Jaishankar conveyed his worries, saying, “The circumstances in the Middle East are a serious issue of great concern.” Though the details of the conversation are not revealed, the focus on promoting stability and cooperation in the area was evident.
