Russian President Vladimir Putin has annpounced on Thursday that Russia is ‘ready’ to hold peace talks with Ukriane and ensured ‘full security guarantee’ for Ukrianian representatives during the negotiation meetings.
Putin noted that Ukriane has the legal rights to seek membersip in the European Union. The remark follows French President Emmanuel Macron’s statement, which highlighted that the 26 nations have agreed to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. These commitments include an international presence across land, sea, and air.
However, Putin warned against the Western troops being stationed in Ukraine. He asserted that they ae being considered as the primary targets for the Russian military. “If some troops appear there, especially now during the fighting, we proceed from the premise that they will be legitimate targets,” he said at an economic forum in Vladivostok.
